A muscle twitched near Trey's jaw as he felt the sensation of flesh against flesh located in the appendages called hands. The momentary darkness caused by blinking could not hide the speed in which he reacted to the movement made by the girl. "Miss," his voice was cracked, hoarse, "You're one of them, aren't you?" The fly was long forgotten; escaped into the hot air, if it could express emotion, it would've been blissful. The tiny buzz it made grew quieter and quieter as it flew away, away from its captor. Heat bombarded the two as the black-haired youth suddenly dropped his items; them falling onto the forlorn dirt in an unceremonious manner. Bits of words and letters could be seen, a strangled, garbled language, from the writer whose ulterior motives were yet to be seen. A tongue flicked out, once again soothing lips that never seemed to dry. He lurched forward, automatically tightening his grip upon the hand that didn't belong to him, his eyes gleaming dangerously, and with sudden, inexplicable maliciousness. "Aren't you?!"

Julian cringed, her free hand flying up to her chin in defence against the sudden movement. He was fast; and strong. Too strong. "I- No!"Her chocolate eyes, sparkling in the glare of the sun, were wide with fear. Adrenaline powered blood pounded in her ears and she felt her heart pounding in her chest, "Let go of me! Trey, I would never harm anyone!" She managed to wiggle her hand out of Trey's and backed away while rubbing her sore hand. ~~ ~ The young boy walked the edge of the town, trying to grasp the size of it and seeing if there were any ways to more densly populated areas. He shook his shaggy, dirty-blond hair out of his face and his eyes crossed the outline of... antlers? Orange tinted lids breifly covered grey eyes and the boy took a bite of the quickly depleating orange spear in his hand and went to investigate.

"You lie!" Golden orbs widen a fraction as he felt the movement from the girl; the hand escaped his, fingers brushed--in a non-intimate manner--and breaths quickened. The sun continued to beat down, unrelenting of how it treated those of lesser quality, strength, and status. Beads of perspiration turned incessant because of the star's harsh administration. It shone, stayed up high in the sky, away from reach, whilst gazing at the two ants that wander upon its path. The male seemed to have changed, whatever the two had between them--should there ever was--was broken. Step by step, he shifted forward, heading directly to the girl, armed with tightly clenched fists, fists that once held another in their midst, and piercing eyes, no longer hidden. "No..." he stopped. He looked her over, "Everything. Everything fits! The willingness, the persona, the location! My notes...!" He felt around for his material, forgetting that he had dropped them earlier in his 'enlightenment.' "Where...where?!" Trey's voice, which had contained a quiet tone of poisoned honey, had risen nearly an octave, from panic and hysteria.

Her head tilted stiffly to the right, shoulders tensed as if in defense but her hands never went higher then her shoulders. Julian kept an eye on Trey as she kept a reasonable distance between herself and the distressed male. Chapped ruby lips parted repeatedly in an attempt to speak, only succeeding after the third try, "You dropped your notebook..." Her brows twitched, attempting anger at being assaulted, and simultanious worry for this man she had never met before. "Are you alright?"
